Certification

The ladder and its components are manufactured and certified to comply with the German DIN 1 standard and the European standard EN 1147 (for the FE-100 assembly), and the ladder is manufactured and Austrian standard and standard EN 1147 with extension EN 4047 (for the F-101 assembly)

DIN is a protected designation of German national technical standards. In the case of DIN 1, these are requirements for tapered pins - unforged.

European Standard EN 1147 specifies requirements, test methods and design criteria for portable ladders for use by fire and rescue services and similar purposes. The tests specified in this European Standard are type tests, not periodic tests. Non-portable ladders for use by fire and rescue services are not covered by this standard.

European Standard CSN-F4047 specifies the requirements, test methods and criteria for the testing of self locking nuts, MJ threaded, of refractory nickel alloy NI-PH2601 (Inconel 718), silver plated - Grade: 1550 MPa (at ambient temperature) / 600 °C - Technical specification (Standard for direct use as a CSN).

Advantages of the multifunction ladder

The multi-functional/combinable ladder is typical of its unique design for a variety of applications. It combines both a support ladder and a freestanding ladder (it is necessary to use a connecting platform to connect the 2 base parts or 1 base and 1 connecting part in the top part to copy the A-shape). But it can also be used thanks to its extension capability. In combination with the roof hook it will take the place of a roof ladder, a temporary light pillar, an emergency bridge or a hose line/hose bridge. It is ideal for emergency vehicles with limited space capacity. It has the exceptional ability to be built up from multiple parts to achieve the desired height. To secure the position during height staggering, manually lockable steel safety couplings/anchors are used. They ensure that the individual parts remain connected during use. They are manufactured in an extremely strong design. This ensures comfortable folding of the ladder and firm anchoring of the individual parts.

The biggest advantage is, of course, the ability to extend the ladder, i.e. to extend the ladder when used as a freestanding ladder - both as a step ladder and as a supporting/inclined ladder. In both cases, it can be assembled in several parts. When folded, this makes it easier to move around the workplace, to transport by car and to store.

The individual parts

In this case, it is a separate connection part - the connection platform - which can be assembled with the base part and other parts to form a complete F-100 or FE-100 multifunction ladder. It is therefore possible to add the F-100 type to the ladder attachment platform to create a complete model:

• the basic part type F-105, which can also be combined with the short connecting part F-102 or F-103 to create a separate ladder
• a short 2-section connecting section with or withoutstabilising rungs type F-102 type F-103
• a long connection section type F-101, which can also be combined with a short connection section F-102 or F-103 to form a separate ladder

To create a complete model type FE-100 can be purchased:

• the base part type FE-105, which can also be combined with the short connection part FE-102 or FE-107 to create a separate ladder
• a short 2 rung attachment section with or without stabilising bar type FE-102 type FE-107
• a long connection section type FE-106, which can also be combined with a short connection section FE-102 or FE-107 to form a separate ladder
• a two-piece folding roof hook with wheels type F-120, which can be easily folded and stored - the wheels are used to easily slide the ladder up the wall using minimal force

Basic construction material and its quality

The quality of the material and workmanship of the ladder will exceed your expectations. The entire ladder is made of high quality alloy aluminium (aluminium with various admixtures to achieve the required mechanical properties) from a specially designed double-sided welded design. The reinforced square rungs, up to 28 mm thick, have replaceable insulating plastic covers on them with an embossed surface design with anti-slip properties for even greater safety, stability and comfortable climbing, or to facilitate any standing on the ladder when working at any height. The rungs are welded into the milled beams to ensure a secure hold. Not a single detail or defect must be overlooked in the manufacture of the ladder.

Connecting technology

The rungs are welded to the beams using CMT technology - a cold welding process to achieve the highest possible quality. Compared to conventional welding, CMT works with very little heat input and an extremely stable arc.

Weathering

By using high quality alloy aluminium material and careful processing/welding of the complete ladder structure, considerable resistance to weather conditions has been achieved. Thanks to the material properties, the ladder cannot rust even if it is left standing in direct rain or exposed to other water elements for long periods of time. There is thus no risk of damage or wear and tear.
