HmIP-SK4 Homematic IP Starter Kit

This kit is designed for initial smart home integration. The kit includes 1x HmIP-HAP central unit and 3x HmIP-SWSD smoke detectors with emergency LED lighting function and a free mobile app, accessories, installation material and Czech instructions. The kit can be modularly expanded with, for example, thermostats, PIR motion detectors, sirens, keypads, flood sensors, remote controls, switched sockets, etc. Up to 15 users, 80 system components, video cameras for event verification, configure automation control processes and create countless scenarios can be connected to the HmIP-HAP Central Unit. By connecting an additional HmIP-HAP Central Unit, the system can be expanded by up to 40 additional system components (maximum 120 components and 2 Central Units per installation). During installation and when creating profiles and scenarios in the mobile app, you can take into account all your needs in terms of building security requirements, automation, heating and a range of other criteria depending on your priorities. In a simple way, you can gradually expand, manage and automate your smart home system. The Homematic IP detectors not only include an acoustic warning with a built-in 85 dB siren and a visual red LED alarm indication, but also the activation of a powerful white LED light for emergency lighting of the escape route at night or in case of heavily smoke-filled areas.

The wireless connection of the wall sensor (HmIP-STHD) to the Central Unit (HmIP-HAP) offers convenient setup and control of the comprehensive Homematic IP smart home system using only an intuitive app (for Android and iOS in CZ) designed for smartphones. The mobile app enables instant response to messages and alerts from your smart home system and connects all Homematic IP devices via a free, unlimited cloud, which allows you to set up and control the system from anywhere in the world, transfer important information and update the software and firmware of the devices, and forward configuration and operational commands from the Homematic IP app towards individual smart home devices.

Installation in new buildings

The detectors comply with the latest standards and are approved to EN 14604:2006\. At the same time, it demonstrates compliance with the latest legislative requirements in the form of the Decree on Technical Conditions for Fire Protection of Buildings 268/2011 Coll. (amending the original well-known Decree No. 23/2008 Coll.) and is thus intended for installation in new buildings with CE certification and documentation for the approval procedures.

HOMEMATIC IP application

It has a Czech localization, is free, intuitive and clear. Once connected to the central unit, it becomes the intelligent hub of your installation, allowing you to control and configure the management of your entire smart home, whether you are at home, at work or on the move. The free mobile app requires no registration and is designed for smart devices with Android and iOS operating systems.

Voice control

The Homematic IP smart home system also offers voice control support and communication with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Home Connect Plus technology. For secure, stable and reliable communication between devices, the system features its own unique radio technology with encrypted security, making it the first smart home system whose protocol, IT and data security are regularly tested and certified by the independent VDE institute.

Installation

No cabling is required for installation. The thermostatic head and touch sensor operate via wireless communication and on battery power. Remove the existing head and replace with the Homematic IP head. Use 3M adhesive tape to secure the optical sensor. Connect the head unit to a 230 V network, connect via Ethernet cable to a standard router. You install the Homematic IP application and pair the individual devices by reading the QR code. And that's it, you're done in just a few steps!
