Basic description

High quality aluminium rescue platform suitable as part of firefighting equipment, directly from the manufacturer and leader in firefighting structures - JUST Leitern AG. For more than 130 years they have been manufacturing these special structures in accordance with European standards, but also meeting other national (German or British) standards. A manufacturer and supplier that constantly promotes new product developments in order to optimize them for all kinds of rescue actions and operations.

All this is embodied in this folding rescue platform with its lightweight construction. It will not get lost in the work of professionals. The sturdy construction, excellent stability and versatile use ensure comfortable and safe access to the necessary places. It is the perfect companion for rescue or firefighting work. A maximum safe load, to comply with standards, of up to 500 kg is possible.

Now the rescue platform is even more compact! The new transport dimensions allow the platform to be stored in the smallest possible spaces, making it a unique product on the market. The platform is assembled in a few simple steps using a robust quick-release system.

Certification

The platform is manufactured and certified to meet the European standard EN 1147 and the extension of the German standard DIN 14830.

European Standard EN 1147 specifies the requirements, test methods and design criteria for portable ladders for use by fire and rescue services and similar purposes. The tests referred to in this European Standard are type tests, not periodic tests. Non-portable ladders for use by fire and rescue services are not covered by this standard.

DIN is a protected designation of German national technical standards. In the case of DIN 14830, these are requirements for rescue platforms/platforms for firefighters.

Specifications for rescue platforms

The platform can be used for evacuation or rescue of persons, temporarily as a light pillar, emergency bridge or hose line as a hose bridge.

The platform is characterized by its unique design, its light weight thanks to the use of lightweight aluminium material and its ability to fold down into a compact size makes it easy to transport, install and store. This platform model can also be used in areas with large differences in floor height, such as staircases, elevations, etc. This is due to the possibility to extend each side of the platform separately. Both sides have the possibility of adjusting the height between the crossbars up to 250 mm. To secure the position when the height is extended, semi-automatic lockable steel safety couplings/anchors are used. They ensure that the individual parts remain connected during use. They are manufactured in an extremely strong design. For better stability and safer use in environments with uneven terrain, each leg can be individually height-adjusted with its own leveling/extension. Each leg is finished with a non-slip plastic pad. The platform's crossbars and running surface are embossed with anti-slip properties for safe use in rain, sleet and snow. The platform is accessible from both sides of the structure. A folding railing can be quickly and easily attached to the platform on one side. The maximum height is up to 1.6 m.

Basic construction material and quality

The quality of the material and workmanship of the platform will exceed your expectations. The entire platform is made of high quality alloy aluminium (aluminium with various admixtures to achieve the required mechanical properties) from a specially designed double-sided welded design. The crossbars have an embossed design on them with anti-slip properties for even more safety, stability and comfortable climbing or to facilitate any standing. The crossbars are welded into the milled beams to ensure a secure hold. Not a single detail or defect must be overlooked in the manufacture of the rescue platform.

Connection technology

The cross members are welded to the beams using the CMT technique - a cold welding process to achieve the highest quality. Compared to conventional welding, CMT works with very little heat input and an extremely stable arc.

Weathering

By using high quality alloy aluminium material and careful processing/welding of the complete rescue platform structure, considerable resistance to weather conditions has been achieved. Due to the material properties, the platform cannot rust even if it is left standing in direct rain or exposed to other water elements for long periods of time. There is thus no risk of damage or wear and tear.
